Internet technology has opened a whole new sales channel to retailers of all types and sizes.
Portrait offers a range of payment solutions for e-businesses from a standard or custom built payment screen accessed over the Internet by the cardholder’s browser or alternatively as a discrete hosted payment application interfaced to the merchant’s system.
Use of our Portrait hosted solutions can also provide e-merchants with the additional security of Verified by Visa (VBV) and MasterCard SecureCode Systems.
The flexibility of the Portrait solution has enabled a wide range of client requirements. As with most Servebase applications, it offers multi-currency processing for all major credit, debit and charge card schemes across multiple acquirers.
Servebase has developed a number of solutions to make card payment a simple proposition to merchants; -

- your own look and feel pop-up linked to your payment button
How it works
We provide the payment screen independent of your site via ‘hyperlink’. The payment details are entered by customer and these sent over secure link to Servebase host which: -
- connects to bank acquirer for authorisation
- confirms to customer transaction accepted
- Confirms to merchant transaction accepted
- Creates transaction for settlement
Alternatively, we can provide a merchant with the API so that this is maintained on its own web browser servers. It should be noted that this solution may well involve signing off by your bank for security purposes.
