It is no longer necessary for card payment applications to reside on your own computer systems and in recognition of this trend; Servebase has developed its premier hosted payment solution - our Cruise and Ferry Global Payment Hub.

The Global Payment Hub links to the existing on board Ship Property Management System (SPMS), ensuring that no further software need be installed on the vessel for card processing. This helps remove any installation costs and reduces ongoing support fees.

Passenger card details are captured at embarkation by the SPMS and using internet satellite technology, are sent via SSL connections over the Internet. These pre authorisation and 'top up' authorisations requests are routed to your chosen acquirer via our fast, dedicated banking lease-lines.

After closure of the passenger folios, the vessel connects to the Global Payment Hub via the internet using SFTP. Once the vessel's unique logon and password has been successfully supplied, the passenger folios are routed through to their own private area of the system. The final settlement request batch as generated by your SPMS can then be uploaded where it will be identified and processed with the company's chosen acquirer.

Once processed, the batch will be retrieved to be downloaded back to the vessel. The time taken to process will be dependant upon volumes however; a typical batch of 500 transactions should be ready for downloading within 15 minutes.

Management Information is available to the vessel or the fleet HQ via our Internet accessed hosted flex service.
